What will my child do at Play Therapy?

Play Therapy is non-directional, therefore what each child does in a session is completely up to them! They may choose any activity from the play therapy toolkit available in the play room. Options include music, movement, drama or imaginative play, art and craft, sand tray and miniatures, clay, puppets and storytelling.

How many sessions will my child need?

Every child is an individual, every child has experienced different things, therefore there is no set rule, or formula, that can be applied to all children. As a minimum 12 sessions are recommended, but this is dependent on a number of criteria that are addressed at the initial interview and reviewed regularly.

Can I get an after school session for my child?

Unfortunately after school session times are very limited. You are more than welcome to speak with Catherine about getting an after school slot if/when one becomes available.
